The story so far..
When I was a child my grandfather came to dinner. My uncle was saying, "what time is Herbert coming", "where should Herbert sit", and so on.. At dinner I politely asked - "Herbert, can you pass the salt please”. I later discovered his actual name was Robin - A Herbert was a common “term” for a trouble maker.
In the summer, fireflies congregate in a synchronised performance that mesmerises visitors with their spellbinding complexity - In French a “Luciole" is a firefly.
Herbert Luciole is a distant cousin of Gnarls Barkley, Born in an experimental hybrid fusion of the remnant DNA of Alfred Hitchcock and Jacques Tati. One minute stirring the pot and playfully agitating, the next mesmerizing with synchronised movement, detail and rhythm.
Laetitia Migliore and Barnaby Monk met in 2003 in an abandoned house in Hackney at 4am. He was looking for trouble and she knew how to orchestrate it. They fell in love travelled the world and made a name bringing projects and ideas to life. They built a home and made two kids in a village called Amsterdam.
Herbert Luciole will forever have one foot in the art world. This is something they bring to every concept and every realisation. They are forever hunting for creatives concepts that they can bring to life.
