Symmetry

Symmetry

Symmetry is a dance-opera film shot inside CERN, the largest experimental particle physics facility in the world. With the cathedral-like majesty of the Large Hadron Collider as his theatre, a modern physicist searches for the smallest primordial particle and discovers a love without end…

Apart from the Dancers, the music, the choreography and the Bolivian salt lakes... the other star of the show was the cern complex itself! It was a strangely religious experience, fro even the most un-religious amongst us. Our work mostly focussed on the "control room" scenes. Building up a story of a mans descent into an unthinkably complex thinking process. How to visualise this descent to the audience by hundreds of tiny notes and details. The desk was divided into simple spaces that represented life, death and the infinite. every hand note was researched and realised with accute attention to detail. thanks Joseph Gower again for his brilliant work!
